Services for Holocaust Survivors

Baltimore's Jewish community hosts several agencies and organizations to support Holocaust survivors with both social and economic needs. These organizations include:

Baltimore Holocaust Survivors and Descendants (BHSD)

Our mission is to commemorate and honor the memory of the Holocaust, to educate our community about this horrendous event, to combat anti-Semitism and Holocaust deniers and to preserve and pass on our Jewish heritage to younger generations. For more information or to R.S.V.P. contact Felicia Graber at hgraber@earthlink.net with the subject line "BHSD".

Jewish Community Services (JCS)

JCS staff assist Holocaust survivors with an array of services in the Baltimore community. Many services are subsidized by the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany. To learn more, call 410-466-9200 or visit www.jcsbaltimore.org.

Holocaust Survivors Social Club (HSSC)

HSSC meets at the Park Heights JCC for monthly social gatherings, entertainment, holiday parties and special trips. For more information or to be added to the mailing list, please contact Lisa Shifren at 410-843-7338.
